We've been using the Zoom X5 DSL modem for a while. Now they have a new
X5 model with a few more features, but apparently has a different DSL
chipset. Curious if anyone has tried this new model (5554A X5 it
appears) and whether there are any glitches. We use the X5 in DHCP
mode.
Has anyone played with any other interesting modems that can be used in
DHCP/router mode? I was also looking at the Paradyne 6218 (with the
wireless hub). This is about twice the price of the Zoom X5, but it
could be an interesting alternative for some customers.
