IRC Channels
Typically, the amount of channels on any of the IRC networks can be measured in the thousands. Topics range from "pretty much anything" to "pretty much anything else".

These OPs are the person who started the channel and anyone he or she has chosen to help them in running the channel. In the list of people in the channel, OPs can be identified by the "@" symbol next to their name. OPs have the ability to set channel topics, kick and ban users, invite users, and set parameters for the channel.
