WATPA, The Westchester Business Journal, and the Westchester Library System
join in presenting an evening with a panel of Westchester people who are
engaged in offering host server services, design and use of Web-based
computer applications. The program will explore Web use by small
businesses and entrepreneurs.

The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 22, at the Chappaqua
Public Library. (See below for directions.) Admission and parking are
free.

Panelists will include:
* Norman J. Jacknis, WATPA Chairman;
* Christopher X. Candreva, President of Westnet Internet Services, Inc.;
* David Menken, Esq., an intellectual property attorney;
* Frank Maris, President of Internet Marketing and Research, Inc.;
* David Rosenbaum, President, Real Time Computer Services, Inc.;
* David J. Brady, founder of HIT PAGES World Wide Web Authoring Services;
and
* Tony Weiner, founder of Brittle Business Ltd. in Mamaroneck, who uses
the Web for his candy business.

Some of the questions which will be answered at the session:
*Why would I want a Web page?
*What are the pitfalls?
*How do I get started?
*What will it cost me?

WATPA, which organized the meeting, is a grass-roots, voluntary group. Its
mission is to provide the people of Westchester County with an
understanding of the emerging world of telecommunications and to help them
get access to the new "Information Highway." WATPA has developed an
extensive collection of Westchester community information on the World Wide
Web server of the Westchester Library System. For example, WATPA worked
with the Westchester League of Women Voters to provide a voter's-guide web
page for the 1996 election.

The Chappaqua Library is at 195 South Greeley Avenue in Chappaqua. To get
there, take the Saw Mill River Parkway to Exit 32 (Chappaqua Route 120).

>From the south, make a left at the end of the exit ramp and a left at the
first light. Go over the parkway and bear right at the fork onto South
Greeley Avenue. Proceed down the street. The Library is on the left
across from Town Hall.

>From the north, bear right from the exit ramp. Make a right again at the
light. Go over the parkway and bear right at the fork onto South Greeley
Avenue. Proceed down the street. The Library is on the left across from
Town Hall.
