Burbs: Web radio show to focus on careers

Rockland residents and career and personal development counselors Lizanne
Fiorentino and Liz Benuscak will share their knowledge on a new, weekly
radio call-in show, "We Need to Talk," starting Monday at 10 a.m. on
Rockland World Radio (at <http://www.rocklandworldradio.com/>
www.rocklandworldradio.com).

The show, a revamped version of Fiorentino's weekly political program, will
focus on achieving career goals. Different topics will be examined each week
with Fiorentino and Benuscak interviewing experts in those fields. Scheduled
topics include networking; business development and marketing; sales and
customer relations, and money matters such as tax and legal issues.

"Whether you're running your own business or moving within a corporation
there are so many resources and it's hard to find them and they're difficult
to navigate," says Fiorentino, owner of Ignite the Flame, which partners
with organizations to support them in setting and achieving goals.

Rockland World Radio is only available online and must be streamed through
the computer to be heard. All shows will be archived.

"Entrepreneurship can be unbelievably isolating," says Benuscak, executive
director of Bi-Coastal, a career strategy firm. "You sit in your little
office and focus on your niche market. You need to get out there and expand
your horizons. Sometimes you don't even know what you don't know. This show
is really a vehicle for people to pick up tidbits and have that 'ah ha'
moment when they say, 'This is what i need.' "
