I have exciting news for all Middlebury lacrosse alumni and all of those
athletes who have been fortunate enough to have been associated with Peter
Kohn while they were at Middlebury.  The new Astroturf practice field will
be dedicated in Peter's name!  It is a worthy distinction for someone who
has put in so many years of selfless work on behalf of the Middlebury
athletes, coaches, and teams.

Some of you have been asking about the possibility of a celebration of 50
years of lacrosse this spring.  I have been sitting on this Peter Kohn
information for a while, and we will be celebrating the dedication of the
field this spring instead.  We will postpone the 50th celebration
tentatively until next spring.  The two would detract from each other if we
tried to combine them.

Below is the schedule of events for this spring's alumni weekend, which will
include the honoring of Peter Kohn.  I hope this will give an extra
incentive for some of you to return.  You will notice the RSVP for the
alumni dinner is not to me, but to an office on campus as they will be
handling the dinner.  In the mailing I am sending next week you will be
asked to RSVP directly to me regarding the actual alumni game.
