I have not checked in since the championship game.  It was a fantastic game and great experience.  It was the most intense experience of my athletic career as a player or coach and I felt fortunate to have the opportunity to be involved.  By the time we returned my desk, email, phone mail etc was loaded and I was drained.  I was uncertain that I could add anything to what had already been said by Jim and others, so I stayed out.

Please find a couple of items of interest below, including: North/South, All American update; t-shirt update; video order request.

1. North/South, All American Banquet

Last Friday was the All American banquet.  Mike Frissora and John West were 1st Team; Eric Krieger, Caleb Holmes and Mike Saraceni were 3rd Team and Greg Bastis was Honorable Mention. The positional players of the year were dominated by Salisbury, Josh Bergey at Attack, Andy Murray (Face off guy) at Midfield and Chris Martin at Defense.  They were all dominant players and deserving of their awards, although Frissora and West could make strong claims as well.

Frissora, Holmes and Brian McGregor played in the rainy North/South game on Saturday at Sacred Heart.  The game was well attended by Middlebury grads: Paul Scheufele and family, Matt Dunn, Banc Jones, Charlie Watson with son Charlie, and Gerry Pearce with son Charlie.  Former Panther coach Dennis Daly was also in attendance.  Frissora was fantastic between the lines but hit a couple pipes and missed on several other shots so came up empty in the scoring column.  He was still impressive as a two-way middie, however. Caleb Holmes started slowly, throwing a couple balls away, but I thought he played great as the game progressed.  Brian did not win many face offs, as he needs his wing men to be involved in order to be effective and their is not much time to scheme and plan.

2. T-shirts

I have the t-shirts that you ordered during the season.  Unfortunately, and I apologize wholeheartedly for this, I accidentally deleted the file with names and sizes on it!  If you ordered a t-shirt please email me quantity, sizes and a mailing address(quinn@middlebury.edu, DO NOT email the entire

listserv!)

3. Championship Game Video

I just received a great copy of the championship game from the NCAA.  It would be similar to watching the game on TV, excellent quality, close ups, replays, stats given at the end of quarters.  If you would like a copy please email me with your mailing address and I will send a copy ASAP (quinn@middlebury.edu, DO NOT email the entire listserv with your request!) I will be doing this as a team fundraiser, so please send a check for $20, made out to Middlebury College.  You can send the check to:Erin Quinn, Men's Lacrosse Coach, Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT 05753.
