Dunn, Seeley and Herbert were a handful vs. Williams in our 20-10 victory on
Wednesday, keeping the Thomsen Trophy in Middlebury!  The last time Williams
won was in 1993 (great 1st half by us in that game, they brought in a left
handed frosh goalie who stoned us in the second half.  The goalie went on to
have a great career.)

Dunn had 3 goals and 6 assists with only a couple of turnovers and a couple
other shots that hit pipes.  Herbert had 5 goals and one assist.  Seeley had
4 goals and 2 assists.  We continued to move the ball well and get players
involved, as 6 other players scored goals.  Frissora and Bastis are both
playing well and as Mike Heffernan said about Frissora, the same holds true
for Bastis, they are throw back, full field horses.

The 6 v. 6 defense was outstanding, completely stifling Williams offense.
We gave up 6 unsettled goals and 4 man down goals.  They have excellent
sticks and are strong finishers, so we would have to do a better job in
those areas if we played them again in the league playoffs.

Up next is Bates at Bates this weekend.  They are a smart, hard playing,
senior oriented team who are playing with confidence. They are also
well-coached.  They will probably play some zone defense mixed with man and
attempt to take the air out of the ball on the offensive end.  The game has
playoff implications, because if we lose and Bowdoin wins, they will be the
#1 seed in the league tourney and we will be playing this Sunday in a 1st
round game and then traveling to Bowdoin next weekend.
