After two big wins this past weekend we get to keep our journey going for another week.  There was no storming of the field and no war paint worn by any of the Panthers but a few guys did get creative with their eye black on Friday night.  You rarely see a 4-3 final score in college lacrosse and when you consider that both goalies finished with 19 saves it really was an unusual game.  Both teams were getting some good looks at the cage but the goalies were on fire.  After Jeff Begin scored in transition for us with 3 seconds left in the first half we went into halftime tied at 3.  The game winner came in the 4th quarter after Williams called a timeout in their defensive end.  The timeout allowed us to draw up a play we had ready for Williams and to set our personnel.  After the quick slide came we moved the ball to the backside where we made a little adjustment to what we had been doing up until that point.  We ended up with Erich Pfeffer getting the ball on the doorstep where he did a nice job of finishing off the play.   There was still a lot of time on the clock but our defense was able to make a few more stops and preserve the win.  Unfortunately with a few minutes left in the game, Matt Rayner went down with an ankle injury.  We're hoping to get him back for this weekend but it will be a game time decision.

The win placed us in a 4 -way tie for 3rd place in the league and after going through the tie breaking procedures we ended up being the 6th seed and on the road at Amherst.  As you may recall we had beaten them 14-6 at home in a game where we doubled them up in gb's and were firing on all cylinders.
