Just a quick update here on our road win down at Springfield last night.  After taking an 8-2 halftime lead in a half that us outshoot Springfield by staggering margin 30-4, they managed to battle their way back into the game.    At the end of the day it's a good road win for our team and hopefully it is a wakeup call for our group going forward.

The game ball went to junior John Simms (Gilman, MD) who filled in for Sean Carroll in the 2nd half after he got banged up on a high hit in the 2nd quarter.  John scored what ended up being the game winning goal on his first touch of the season, a nice right handed alley dodge to put us up 9-3 at the time.   As we talk about all the time, there are plenty of guys on the team who are one play away from finding themselves in a major playing role on game day.  We stress they need to prepare so they are ready if and when their number is called, John was ready yesterday.

Next up are the Trinity Bantams this Saturday at 2pm down in Hartford.  Typically this game overlaps with a big spring weekend on the Trinity campus and we get a lively crowd for the game.   We look forward to our opportunity to get back out on the field after last night, hope to see some of you there!
