The Thomsen Trophy is back in VT!!!!

Not the cleanest game ever played on Kohn field and I'm pretty sure there haven't been many that were sloppier by both teams but we came away with the win.   Pete Britt played very well in goal and had some critical saves down the stretch to preserve the win.  None were bigger than after a failed clear (one of many on the day) Williams had a point blank shot with under 15 seconds to play and Pete came up huge.

The defense as a whole played a terrific game in holding Williams to 6 goals, the ball seemingly was down at their end the entire game.  Our close defense was tremendous in James Guay, Chris Mejia, and John Bambrick.  John won the game ball after putting the ball on the ground numerous times throughout the day and after coming up with some tough ground balls.

Offensively we were out of rythym all day and their defense did a nice job on ball.  Not a crushing victory or an overall great performance by the team but once again we did enough for the win.

I'm sure we'll have two great days of practice in getting ready for Amherst on Saturday and will be ready to go.
