We picked up another road win on Tuesday over a tough Plattsburgh squad to improve our record to 4-2 on the year.  After Plattsburgh notched the first goal of the game, we went on a four goal run to close the quarter with the first three coming from first-year Jack Gould.  The last came from another first-year, Wyatt Rancourt (Lawrenceville) who won his first career face off to himself for a fast break and then pumped the point defenseman and stuck a high to low shot on the run.  Talk about a great way to start a career! Wyatt ended up winning 4 of 5 face offs he took on the day.

Unfortunately we had a number of careless turnovers in the 2nd quarter that allowed the Cardinals back into the game and gave them some momentum heading into the half.  They would eventually tie it up at 6 in the third quarter and again at 8 in the fourth.

The story of the game has to involve Tim Giarrusso who won the game ball for his 2 goal and 1 assist effort.  Tim arrived at halftime straight from a field trip to Burlington for his senior seminar, thankfully his parents were able to give him a ride and provide a mobile locker room for him to get changed on the way over.  Tim proceeded to have a hand in three of our five goals in the 2nd half and scored the game winner!

Next up we travel to Brunswick Maine to face the Polar Bears tomorrow afternoon at 1pm.  After a disappointing 2015 season where they finished 3-12, the Polar Bears are off to a great start this year and are sitting at 4-1.  They are currently ranked 7th in the laxpower power ratings and will be a very tough test for our group.  Should be a good one!
