We had our first scrimmages of the 2008 season on Sunday night at the Adirondack Sports Complex in Queensbury, NY.  We scrimmaged both St. Lawrence and Western New England which are ranked #12 and #7 in the preseason Division 3 polls respectively.  Having only three practices under our belt I was wondering what we'd look like going against two high powered teams who had been practicing for a few weeks but we certainly held our own. 

Our starting attack line of Skyler Hopkins, Tom Petty, and Pete Smith all played well and could be poised for breakout seasons.  Pete Britt was fantastic in the cage and showed that he's going to get our offense started with his outlet passes this season.  There was a lot to be excited about and we look forward to getting back down to Queensbury to face Union this Friday night.  I'll be sure to follow up with some details about our scrimmage this weekend.
