Advantages of Membership

• Membership is from October to October, and is pro-rated if you join in a later month
• The Westchester Chess Club is affiliated with the Unied States Chess Federation.
• Dues are $36/year or $3 /month pro-rated
• Dues for junior members are $24/year
• Members can play rated games among themselves and the club pays reporting fees.
• Members play for free in all rated tournaments without a prize fund, however, in order to possess a Chess Player's Official Rating and participate in rated events, a person must have a current membership in the USCF.
• Other events that are free to members include Simultaneous Exhibitions of Master Players and above. This year we had IM Rafael Klovsky, Cadet Champion Justin Sarkar and Master Rich Jackson perform for us.
• Our club has well-lighted free parking.
• We are located in a wheel-chair accesible building with an elevator .
• Amenities: payphone, soda machine, air conditiononing,
• Our playing room seats 40 players comfortably with good lighting.
• Effective October '98 :In tournaments with a prize fund members pay $5 and outsiders $10, with a very high return rate.
