PPT-1 Using NO-UNDO Variables
Tip:
Remember to define all your variables as NO-UNDO unless you
know you need undo processing for that variable. Variables,
including Work-Tables and Temp-Tables, that are defined without
the NO-UNDO keyword require .lbi (local before image) writes as
their values change to support the possibility of an undo. This
extra processing is made worse by the fact that .lbi writes occur for
ALL undo variables when ANY undo variable value changes.
Wisdom:
The first step in learning must be the acceptance of ignorance.
