PPT-0 Introduction to Progress Programming Tips
By Rod Gaither (rdg@worldinfo.com)
In an effort to commit to bits and bytes some of the knowledge
I have gained from years of programming efforts in Progress I
am creating my own Tip of the Day style list of programming
tidbits. This list is aimed at sharing my knowledge but is
certainly open to input from others if anyone is interested.
Through the years I have learned from not only my own efforts but the
efforts of many others. For that I would like to say thanks and hope
that those individuals don't mind my passing along their ideas to
others.
I make no specific claims on this body of work and note rather
globally that credit goes to any individual author along the way. I'm
not going to take the time and effort to reference every source and
thought though I will try and be careful not to step on anyone's toes.
These tips vary in complexity and uesfulness so hopefully there
will be something for everybody. If I make a mistake or am
just plain wrong (after all some of my knowledge is very dated)
please let me know so I can correct it. :-)
Enjoy, Rod.
