Subject: NCLIS Testimony on Web; input closes 12/10

On November 10, 1998, the U.S. National Commission on Libraries and
Information Science (NCLIS) held an open hearing on "Kids and the Internet:
The Promise and the Perils."

Portions of testimony are up on the Web: see http://www.nclis.gov . The
window for submitting additional testimony closes tomorrow, December 10.
Testimony may be submitted by fax or email. Input has been received from
Enough is Enough, Family Friendly Libraries, Family Research Council, and
David Burt; as well as Mainstream Loudoun, the American Library
Association, and the Urban Libraries Council.
