Tonight's Emporia Gazette headline reads "Censoring Internet
Opposed" and contains the following quote from the president of the School
Board when asked about filters: "At the high school we have a 'device' like
that. He's called Mr. (Tom) Haskett. A good librarian knows what is going
on in his library."
In case you city folk wonder what we country folk worry about, an
example given by Mr. Haskett of an assignment a student wouldn't be able to
fulfill in biology dealt with "wanting grafting of an apple tree..." The
key phrase needed is asexual reproduction.
