Vice President Al Gore urged Congress on Monday to pass legislation
that would require schools and libraries using federal subsidies for
Internet access to block inappropriate material from children. "As we
connect every school and classroom to the Internet, we must protect our
children from the red-light districts of cyberspace," Gore said.
