Below I summarize the positions we discussed at the WATPA meeting last
Thursday in relation to the four policy questions concerning Web support
activities.

1) Establishment of virtual domains for organizations we host
Neither WATPA nor WLS will be supporting the establishment of new, virtual
domain names.

>2) Requirement to acknowledge the WATPA and WLS contributions to the >site
and hyperlinks back to the WATPA PathMaster Page.
This will be an inviolate requirement.

>3) Requirement to ensure that content is kept current
We will require this, but probably need to provide some kind of (single)
reminder about the content going stale -- with a warning to the
organization that the page will be deleted or modified by us to eliminate
outdated material. When an organization starts out with us, we should,
however, recommend to them that they not posted potentially dated material
unless they have the resources to keep things updated. (Lots of folks
don't necessarily think ahead and need to be forewarned.)

>4) Use of MS FrontPage for development and maintenance in order to
>minimize workload on the Web Support Committee
We will recommend this, although they should be allowed to use any tool
they wish if they're doing the work. On a positive note, we should inform
organizations about the built-in capabilities of FrontPage, which they
might consider using -- for example, easily generated forms.
