Below, I've summarized the major actions and information which came out =
of the September WATPA meeting.=20

* LWV Voters Guide On-Line
We will have "task force" of volunteers to help quickly convert the =
League of Women Voters' fall election guide. This will be led by Irene =
Herz, with Patrick Colvin, Matt Wynn, Cindy Penchina and myself.

* Programs For WATPA
Bill Langham will be arranging an appropriate location, date, etc. for =
our first program.

* Web Classes for the public and non-profit groups
After much discussion, we decided to limit these classes to those people =
who will become WATPA members and volunteers to assist in the =
development of free web pages for community groups in Westchester. Each =
training session will be open to the general public, but limited to 6-8 =
people. These will be held at WLS, under strict controls.

* Expanding our base of Web volunteers
I have passed along a description of our needs to the Volunteer Center =
and hopefully we'll be getting some response from that. =20

* Student memberships
We postponed until the October meeting any discussion of the idea of a =
less costly student membership as one way of expanding our volunteer =
base.

* FrontPage And PathMaster Administration
The FrontPage issue is still not 100% resolved, although Patrick Colvin =
indicated that community information will go on its own computer, so =
that it should be possible to use FrontPage without affecting any other =
computers at WLS. Still to be decided is the use and proper handling of =
Microsoft's extensions.

Thanks very much for all your help,
