I have run into issues with our router - Cisco 4700 - when I setup separate
subinterfaces for each customer:
Example
interface Serial0.24 multipoint
frame-relay map bridge 24 broadcast IETF
bridge-group 4
!
interface Serial0.25 multipoint
frame-relay map bridge 25 broadcast IETF
bridge-group 5
!
interface Serial0.29 multipoint
frame-relay map bridge 29 broadcast IETF
bridge-group 6
versus using one subinterface and "stacking each customer on the interface":
Example
interface Serial0.100 multipoint
frame-relay map bridge 76 broadcast IETF
frame-relay map bridge 20 broadcast IETF
frame-relay map bridge 23 broadcast IETF
The latter config leaves the router happier but customers seem to complain
about outages, possibly from oversubscription.
Anyone run into the same issues?
