Wow, I go home for dinner and we have 13 people on the list already.

Verizon is going to offer the option of having a direct PVC to the end user,
instead of going through one of the agragate PVCs, and is going to charge
$15/month extra for it.

Evidently there is a division at Verizon who seems to think you can't do a
static IP with the agragate set-up, and people will pay more for it to get
the static IP. The general opinion of the ISPs on the call was that few
customers would pay extra for the PVC, since we can do static's anyway.

What was funny the way they presented it: "And with a static IP, your
customers can register their own domain name to have their own Internet
identity". Evidently someone didn't tell them who the audiance was.
