MailMan

Preview New Webmail

We are preparing to replace MailMan with a new webmail package, Squirrelmail, that has many additional features. Among these are server based folders, which can also be accessed via a regular mail client with IMAP.

You can start using Squirrelmail now by clicking here. Please send any feedback, good and bad, to staff@westnet.com.

Welcome to MailMan. WestNet users who are traveling, at work, or for whatever reason are not at their regular computer can check their e-mail via any web browser. While not a replacement for a regular desktop e-mail program, MailMan will help you keep in touch, no matter where you are.

For everyday use, WestNet recomends the Mozilla Thunderbird mail client or Eudora. If you do not have a desktop mail program configured, we have help available for configuring various packages.

Frames interface
Use an interface that is split into panes.
This interface is more user-friendly and attractive, but requires a web browser that supports 'frames' and 'cookies'. If you don't recognize either term then you most likely have a browser that supports them.
No frames interface
Use a single-pane interface.
For old or 'thin' web browsers. More cumbersome to use.
Text-only frames interface
Use a totally text-based interface.
Designed for very old or very 'thin' web browsers like PDA's or cell phones, or for extremely slow network connections. Very ugly, but very practical. This interface will work just about anywhere, it just won't necessarily look good doing it.
Don't cache output.
Check here to set MailMan to mark all output pages as expired so that they will not be cached, for increased security and privacy. (Some web browsers may not honor page expiration directives.)
Note: MailMan is not intended for use as your main method of reading e-mail. For normal use, a general mail client such as Mozilla Thunderbird, Eudora, or MS Outlook is suggested. MailMan is inteded for use when you are traveling or do not have access to your normal desktop computer.
