COMUNICARE, a non-profit association,
is dedicated to teaching Spanish as a second
language, to studying and investigating the
social-historical reality of Central America
and to supporting the development of
local communities.

The center offers two programs:

1. Flexible Study:

Offered weekly, this program combines Spanish Classes with optional Homestays and Volunteer opportunities.

Spanish Classes: $130/week
Homestay: $ 95/week

2. Living the Language:

This four month program combines Spanish Classes, Seminars on Central America, on the Environment and on Women in the Society, Fieldtrips, Volunteer Opportunities and Homestays.

The Spanish classes are small, dynamic and conversationally oriented. The native professors are imaginative and use a wide range of audiovisual and written material. COMUNICARE differs from other Costa Rican centers in its high degree of personal attention and in its open and critical analysis.
