| "Manuel Antonio is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Costa Rica and deservedly so." from "The New Key to Costa Rica", by Beatrice Blake and Anne Becher
"The three beaches, separated by headlands, at Manuel Antonio are as beautiful as any in the world." from "The Costa Rica Traveler," by Ellen Searby
Land in Manuel Antonio is limited by geography - real estate with a view and near the beaches is finite. Land prices have risen in a steady rhythm over the last twenty years; there is no reason to expect beach real estate values to drop.
"When you first glimpse the sea from the hills above Manuel Antonio, the word 'paradise' might cross your mind. The lovely beaches here were made into a national park before they could be turned into another Acapulco.
Manuel Antonio is one of the few remaining habitats of a subspecies of the mono tit¡ (squirrel monkey). Howler and white- faced monkeys, two-toed sloths, coatimundis, and raccoons frequent the beaches, which are shaded by leafy trees. Iguanas pose like statues unless they are moving their heads up and down like pumps (a territorial signal made by males.)" -- from "The New Key to Costa Rica", by Beatrice Blake and Anne Becher
- There is an airport 2.5 miles away served by daily flights from two commercial airlines. The hospital is next to the airport.
- There are many long term foreign residents in this area, and more all the time.
- One of Costa Rica's better birding areas; Costa Rica is one of the two best birding destinations in the world.
- 65 charter boats are expected this season; exceptional fishing includes black marlin, sailfish, and snapper. There are also dolphins, lobsters, and giant sea turtles in these waters.
- There are several luxury hotels in this small area as well as a five star restaurant.
This area has lower prices than beach real estate in Guanacaste in spite of being several hours closer to San Jose. Also, Manuel Antonio remains green and sunny in the peak season, without the 40 mph winds of Guanacaste.
Manuel Antonio is a unique jewel. The location, climate, infra- structure, views, topography, wildlife, forests, and the park all work together.
