"California" incorporates lots'a Cheap Trick-style energy and rocks in a way Bush merely wish they could while "The Sun" swaggers mightily and features a dramatic, Sonic Youth-like guitar riff plastered to over-the-top vocals. A third track adds a bit of psychedelic Beatle-fuzz to the proceedings, while "Azure" is a haunting, Radiohead-caliber acoustic ballad and yet another reason to rush out and pick up this Nashville by way of Charlotte, NC four piece's debut.
