If I were on a desert island, and could only get CDs from one record label, it would be TVT/Wax Trax!. Their stuff is always cool, but this one takes the cake. Even though you practically need tech- support to read their impressive multimedia press kit, it is well worth the wait and effort.
EBN is a dance sensation. The frenzied sampling and pumping backbeat hold a raging rave party in your brain, and much, much more. Their relevant lyrics and un-PC smples actually make you think (and laugh at yourself and your culture) til you could just explode. This theme coming at you 'a la ZOO TV (from U2), or even Negativeland (for those in the know).
Each track follows the general theme, but has a different kick to it... pace and pitch varying, as well as relevant message evolving. It is almost like making the news bearable again, while not beating the listener over the head with the message.
