New Dodgy single in the U.K.!, Vinx

NEWS: > The new Dodgy single, "So Let Me Go Far", will be issued on December 26th in the United Kingdom. The band is currently shooting the video for the track in Morocco. Initial reports indicate support from Radio 1, which has sparked optimism for the band's biggest hit to date.

> Singer/songwriter/percussionist Vinx will be performing two sets on Saturday, December 10 at the New Knitting Factory in New York City.

Vinx, who is signed by Sting to the star's Pangaea label, has performed with such superstars as Peter Gabriel, Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis and Jackson Browne, as well as newcomers such as Sheryl Crow. This show will include special guests such as Living Colour's drummer (Will Calhoun) and bassist (Doub Wimbish) and ex Spin Doctors guitarist Eric Shankman.

Vinx has been compared to classical rhythm and blues artists, with a touch of world beat thrown in. In addition, he was the opening act on Sting's most recent tour.

The two shows are scheduled for 9:00 and 11:30 p.m.; tickets, which are $10 each, can be purchased at the New Knitting Factory, which is located at 74 Leonard Street (between Broadway and Church).
