Usenet Servers Upgrade Requires Newsgroup Update

Our Usenet news vendor has upgraded their servers, to provide a larger number of groups and a longer retention time.

However, this will also require all Usenet users to reload their group lists and read article counts. (Usenet software maintains a list of article numbers that have already been read. The numbers start over at 1 on the new server, so if you do not reset these counts, you will not see new articles posted.)

They have provided instructions for the major Usenet software in a PDF document (Netscape/Mozilla, Thunerbird, Agent 2, Xnews, and Outlook). (Shell accounts have been reset automaticly).
