• Click on the Start button, then click Settings, then click on Control Panel
• Once the Control Panel opens, double-click on the icon for Network Connections
• In Network and Dial-Up Connections double-click on MAKE NEW CONNECTION.

• Click Next

In Network Connection Type:

• Select Connect to the Internet
• Click on Next

Connection wizard welcome screen:

• Select the second option, you want to setup your connection manually.
• Click on Next

How do you connect to the Internet:

• Select "Connect using a dial-up modem."
• Click on Next

ISP Name

• Type WestNet for ISP name
• Click on Next

Phone number setup

• Enter your area code
• Enter a WestNet dial-up phone number close to your location. (See List)
• Click Next

Type in your username

• Username - Enter your WestNet username
• Password - You can enter in your password, or you can leave it blank
• Uncheck Internet Connection Firewall
• Click Next

Completing the New Connection

• Check - Add a Shortcut to my Desktop
• Click Finish

Configure Dial-up Settings

• Double Click WestNet

• Click on Properties

• Click on Networking

WestNet Properties

• Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
• Click Properties

DNS Address Settings

• IP Address:
  Select - "Obtain IP Address automatically"
• DNS:
  Select - "Always use the following":
• Enter for Primary: 216.187.52.23
• Enter for Secondary: 216.187.52.24
• Click OK
