Setting up your
WebTV to connect to Westnet Internet Services
After you setup your WebTV to connect to Westnet Internet Services, you
will have to create an "OPENISP" account with WebTV in order to use the
service.
To configure your WebTV first:
- Turn off WebTV
- Using the wireless keyboard or remote control, type in "217"
Look for the WebTV box and the wireless receivers' lights to blink a few
times. If it did you are ready to continue. If it didn't please make sure
that the WebTV box and the wireless receiver are plugged in correctly.
- Turn the WebTV back on. An option screen should appear
- Move the cursor to "Use your own ISP".Hit Enter
- For Service Provider enter
Westnet
- Login Name
Your User ID
- Password
Your Password
- Phone Number
Enter in the local access number
- Back Up Number
Optional
Once you hit done the WebTV service should start and dial the local
Westnet number. Once the connection is made the WebTV service should ask
you for some information. Once your done answering all of the required
information, your WebTV service through Westnet Internet Services.
