Disabling the Script

Quick Reference

Windows 95 | Windows 3.1 | Windows NT | OS/2 | Macintosh | ISDN | Trumpet | Internet in a Box | Chameleon

WestNet went from scripted log-in to Password Authentication Protocol (PAP) on February 18, 1998. Please read the section for your software carefully. After February 18, 1998, PPP users will NOT be able to log-on to WestNet unless the following changes are made.

Windows 95

The script must be disconnected from the dial-up connection. If you do not find the Dial-Up Scripting Tool, then: If you open a terminal window to connect to WestNet, then:

Windows 3.1

The script must be disabled. If you get an error when you click on the WestNet Dialer, then:

Windows NT

The script must be disabled.

OS/2

The script must be erased.

Macintosh

There are three different Mac dialers:

ISDN

No changes need to be made.

Trumpet Winsock

The script must be changed and Trumpet reconfigured. You have just modified your script to only dial and not perform a scripted log-in. Now you must also configure Trumpet to use PAP: Anyone still using Trumpet and Netscape V 1.0 can receive a set of disks from WestNet with Netscape 3.0 and an updated PPP dialer.

Internet In A Box

Setup must be edited.

Netmanage Chameleon

The script must be disabled.
