Westnet w/ GRIC Roaming Service

Westnet is providing a global roaming service which gives our Westnet users the ability to dial into a local GRIC affiliated ISP almost anywhere in the world.

The cost of this roaming service is:

* $3.00 a month for any month in which the service is used
* 4.75 cents a minute in the US
* 9.33 cents a minute internationally

1. Pick a phone number local to the place you are traveling to from the Gric online phone book
2. You will need to either change your dial-up settings to reflect the location you are roaming to, or preferably create a new dial-up connection for the roaming settings, so you do not need to change them back when you return home. How to set up a dial-up connection varies by OS, please see our Getting Started page for help configuring a dial-up.
3. Enter your userid as "username@westnet.com" . The "@westnet.com" is important.
4. Enter your Westnet password.
5. Enter the phone number you found from the Gric online phone book

To send mail, make sure that your program is set up to use SMTP Authentication. See your mail program's help for information on how to do this, or contact WestNet support.
